Hello, everyone! Welcome to our "All About Alton Week." We will be studying the history of Alton for both guided reading and social studies this week. We will be doing activities and reading about Robert Wadlow, Elijah P. Wadlow, Lewis and Clark, Rufus Easton, and more! Our field trip will be on Friday. We are hoping for good weather! Please be sure to wear comfortable clothing and good shoes for walking.

Week of April 6, 2010

Welcome back from spring break! It is a perfect week to review previous skills in our reading series. Look for skills such as sequencing, cause and effect, and author's purpose to be reinforced in this week's lessons. The spelling list is also a review of previous learned spelling patterns.

We will start our Alton History lessons this week. Students will be presented with information about Alton's past and present. Please be sure to return permission slip and $1 for student entry to the Alton History Museum. Our walking morning trip will be on Friday, April 16th.
